Applications by speciality
Each speciality asks magnification for different things: field, detail, posture, light. This is the honest map of where each profile usually starts with our range — the starting point you then refine at your fitting.
General dentistry and hygiene
Most of the work asks for a wide field and comfort across full days: the natural entry point is the Galileo line at 2.5×, with room to move up to 3× or 3.5× depending on the procedure. With coaxial LED light, the unit's shadows stop ruling the field. The full range for the dental profile is in dental loupes.
Endodontics
The speciality that runs out of magnification first: canal orifices are not guessed, they are seen. This is where high magnifications come in — the prismatic route of Kepler or the vertical vision of the Ergo line — and light stops being optional. We cover it in depth in the guide loupes for endodontics.
Surgery
Long procedures, a deep field and sustained posture: optics and ergonomics weigh equally. Surgical configurations combine medium-high magnifications with stable frames and powerful light; the detail, in surgical loupes.
Veterinary
From consultation to theatre, with patients of every size: versatility first. A generous field for examination and enough magnification for soft-tissue surgery — the usual starting point is in veterinary loupes.
Students
The first loupe shapes the posture of a whole career. The starter range (for students) prioritises wide field, low weight and contained price, with specific terms applied in your quote — and programmes for universities with classroom measurement.
